The 1st-6th Grade Guide Book is the teaching manual that can be used to teach children in 1st through 6th grade—all with one book. It is a two-semester study that includes 8 units spread over 32 weeks. Each week of the 1st-6th Grade Guide Book focuses on a prominent Bible story to be read the first day. The next four days provide supplemental passages and different perspectives that encourage a deeper understanding of the main Bible story in light of other Scripture truths. Students study the story’s context, its relation to the rest of Scripture, its doctrinal truth, and meaningful ways of application.

The Illuminate Bible Series Video Lessons offer a five-minute video teaching for every daily 1st-6th Grade Guide Book lesson, providing strong reinforcement of the truths taught in the lesson and a way to instruct visual learners. The video lessons are aligned with the daily lessons from the 1st-6th Grade Guide Book, Volume 2: Our Faithful God. Videos are taught by an engaging instructor and mix a clear presentation of the truth of Scripture with engaging visuals to capture the minds of children. Each video ends with a Christ Focus from Scripture and a Prayer Point to guide children in their relationship with the Lord. If preferred, the video lessons can be used as the primary method of instruction with the 1st-6th Grade Guide Book manual providing students with detailed information and full references.

The 1st-6th Grade Guide Book and video lessons can be used by itself or paired with the graded Student Workbooks available for each student. One bundle should be purchased per family or class.
